Ensigns Tap & Cap scheme expands to more Thurrock routes
Great news! From Monday 12th May 2025, the Ensignbus Tap & Cap scheme in Thurrock zone expands to include First Bus services 100 and 200*, making travel between Orsett Cock and Lakeside even easier.
You can travel with either Ensign Bus or First Bus services within the Thurrock Tap & Cap zone and pay no more than £6.80 per day using Tap & Cap. Your first journey of the day will cost £2.70, the second adds £2.20, and the third adds £1.90. These fares apply within the Thurrock zone regardless of whether you travel on First Bus, Ensign Bus, or a combination of both.
*Tap & Cap will also be available to use on service 201 between Orsett Cock and Orsett Hospital.

Traveling within the Thurrock zone? You can simply pay the driver, with the maximum single fares capped at £2.70.
