Welcome to the Honywood School travel page:

First Essex operates the 320 bus service which travels through Coggeshall; a convenient route for students travelling from either Braintree or Colchester to and from school.

The service operates, on an hourly basis, seven days a week.

Tickets:

We offer a selection of ticket options to choose from which are calculated in-line with the school calendar year (and school opening and closure times). The price of this service can be discounted with the purchase of bulk travel.

Annual:

Valid 5th September 2023 to 19th July 2024; providing travel on service 320 to Honywood School (Monday to Friday). 

Term:

Autumn Term: Valid 5th September 2023 to 22nd December 2023. 

Spring Term: Valid 8th January 2024 to 28th March 2024. 

Summer Term: Valid 15th April 2024 to 19th July 2024. 

All prices exclude staff inset days, bank holidays, half-term breaks and school holidays. 

All tickets exclude travel during school staff inset days, bank holidays, half-term breaks and school holidays. 

If a student travels without a valid bus pass they will be asked to pay the on-bus fare with cash.

The ticket will be pre-loaded, on the travel card, and dispatched in the next available post (1st class delivery).


Is there financial assistance for low income families?

Parents or guardians can apply to Essex County Council for subsidised travel to the nearest available school for their home address, if they live within the qualifying distance from that school. The full education transport policy sets out the criteria for a child to qualify for school transport.
