First Essex is taking part in the Government £2 Bus Fare Cap Grant scheme. This means that most single journeys across our Essex network will cost no more than £2 between 1st January to 31st October 2023.

Students attending Anglia Ruskin University (Chelmsford campus) can purchase discounted tickets for travel on First Essex buses via the First Bus app (as an mTicket).

Chelmsford

Travel on all First Bus services within the Chelmsford urban area. This includes Chelmsford town centre, Writtle, Galleywood, Chignall, Melbourne, Broomfield Hospital, Beaulieu Park, Springfield, Chelmer Village, Great Baddow and Boreham.
