Sheffield’s Walk of Fame

First Bus in Sheffield is launching a new initiative that celebrates the greats from the Sheffield music scene. Over recent months the company has been transforming some of their iconic buses paying tribute to some of the cities famous names in a unique initiative being called ‘Sheffield’s Walk of Fame’.

Over the coming months, people will see the likes of Richard Hawley, Self Esteem, Reverend and the Makers and the treasure that is The Leadmill music and arts venue featured around the City’s streets. More artists to be announced soon.

First Bus is proud of its connection to the great city of Sheffield and all the people involved in carrying its name both locally and across the world. They show that the words ‘Made in Sheffield’ still mean something to be proud of.

We are teaming up with famous and not so famous artists who have put Sheffield firmly on the map and who have all, and still do, use the public transport network across the city when they are home.

Showcasing the artist on a bus is not the only tribute to be enjoyed, each artist was invited to take on the ‘Blockbuster driving challenge’ at the home of First Bus at Olive Grove. Taking on several driving manoeuvres and challenges followed by driving down a course blindfolded, must be seen to be believed. Filming of these events will be revealed and uploaded to YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Google and Apple over the coming weeks.

Follow ‘Sheffield’s Walk of Fame’ page to enjoy some hilarious moments, choice words and trepidation as the legends take on the challenges and join us on this Rock n Roll journey in Sheffield.
