SERVICE 675 – WYCHE CUTTING RESURFACING WORKS
Due to resurfacing works from Monday 07 July through to Friday 11 July, service 675/676 will be diverted as follows;
Service will start in Malvern and use A449 direct to Chance’s Pitch – will the turn right onto B4218 and follow to Colwall Railway Station. Service will then turn at Old Church Road, and resume normal route to Ledbury. Diversion will be the same in reverse. Please note, the service to John Masefield High School during the AM peak period will run NORMAL ROUTE throughout this closure, but the PM service will not be allowed access through works and will need to divert.
As a result of this, West Malvern Road will not be able to be served through this closure.
From Monday 14 July through to Friday 18 July, a further South section of the route will be closed in several places through Colwall. As such, the service will divert from Wyche Cutting (West Malvern Road WILL be served whilst this section is closed) via Jubilee Drive, A449 and Chance’s Pitch, to run left at Barton Court and resume normal route here. The diversion will also apply in the opposite direction. Colwall village will not be served during this closure. The same will apply to the John Masefield High School, AM trip having access, but not the PM journey.
SERVICE 38 – NEWTOWN ROAD RAIL TUNNELS
Due to the closure of Newtown Road underneath the Railway tunnels between Shrub Hill Road and Sherriff Street in both directions for pedestrian guardrail replacement works, the road will be closed on Monday 14 July through to Friday 18 July.
Services 38/X38 will need to divert via Sherriff Street and Tolladine Road in both directions during this closure. Shrub Hill Road/Railway Station will not be served – our services will instead use Station Steps bus stops in both directions to provide a closer stop to the railway station during this time.
SERVICE 30 – TUDOR WAY WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT WORKS
There is a program of works by Severn Trent Water from Monday 21 July all the way through to Friday 17 October. The road will be closed in stages – starting between A44 and Drake Avenue on Monday 21 July.
We will update passengers accordingly, but to serve as much of Dines Green estate as possible throughout the road closure, the diversion route will change at various points depending on what section of the road Severn Trent are working on. We will be working directly with Worcestershire County Council & Severn Trent Water to ensure the service is impacted as least as possible.
To start with, we estimate between Monday 21 July and approximately Monday 04 August, we will be diverting as follows;
TO DINES GREEN - From A44 via Broadway Grove, Stainburn Close, Harrington Road, Rea Way, to resume normal route on Drake Avenue. [Bus stop at Broadway Grove will not be served – temp stop in place].
TO CITY CENTRE – From Tudor Way via Drake Avenue, Rea Way and Broadway Grove to resume normal route onto A44. [Bus stop at Dines Green Primary School, Grove Crescent and Broadway Grove will not be served – temp stop in place].
There will be a temporary bus stop placed on both sides of the road outside Nisa Local/Hooked Fish & Chip shop for the duration of the diversion.
SERVICE 54 – DEFFORD VILLAGE
We will be unable to serve Defford village on the 54 service from Worcester to Pershore High School from Monday 07 July for 5 days due to a road closure on Upper Street in Defford village. Service is diverting via Bluebell Close in both directions.
