51, 52a, 95, 120 & 120k / Sheffield City Centre / DIVERSION

The re-development of Sheffield city centre will lead to road and network changes in the area.

All INBOUND services will now be re-routed via West Street, turning right directly onto Rockingham Street to Charter Row.

Services will no longer serve Carver Street or Division Street.

As a result, the standard weekend diversion will no longer be required on Friday & Saturday nights.

Snig Hill has been closed for roadworks. 

Outbound  services from town will divert via Castle Street, Waingate, Lady’s Bridge, Nursery Street, Corporation Street and Moorfields.

Please be aware of permanent route changes affecting Sheffield bus services 51,52a, 95, 95s, 120 and 120k.

These services will now operate via Rockingham Street instead of Carver Street & Division Street.

Monday 15th December 08:00 – Friday 19th December 18:00

Due to the closure of part of Rushy Moor Lane in Askern, services will divert via Newmarche Drive instead of Rushy Moor Lane.

Saturday 6th December 2025

05:00 – 18:00

Due to the closure of Church Street for the Christmas Market, services are diverted via Sheffield Road / Poplar Road & Chestnut Grove in both directions.

Friday 12th December 2025

17:00 – 20:00

Due to the closure on Cemetery Road in Hatfield Woodhouse, services are diverted directly along Epworth Road and resuming normal route from the Green Tree Public House.

Friday 5th December 2025

18:00 – 21:00

Due to Christmas Events in Westwoodside & Haxey, the 359 & 360 services will divert as follows :-

In Westwoodside, services will operate directly along Doncaster Road and resume normal route from Newbigg.

In Haxey, services will operate as normal up to Haxey Church, Church Street & Greenhill Road / The Nooking resuming normal route on Epworth Road.

These are in both directions.

51 Service - Wednesday 3rd December (2000 until end of service) for one night

Redmires Road will be closed at the junction of Crimicar Lane for line painting.

OUTBOUND services to divert via Redmires Road, Hallamshire Grange Road, Hallamshire Grange Crescent, Hallamshire Road & then terminate on Barncliffe Road (120 terminus).

INBOUND services to commence on Barncliffe Road & Crimicar Lane, Hallamshire Road, Hallamshire Grange Cresent, Hallamshire Grange Road & Redmires Road.

We are unable to serve Lodge Moor during these times.

8, 8a & 20 Services - Friday 28th November until Friday 12th Decemeber (0700-1900) weekdays only

Monteney Crescent will be closed for SCC works.

8 & 8a Services to divert via High Street, the full length of Greaves Road, Yew Lane, Morrall Road & Monteney Road.

20 Service diverted via Yew Lane, the full length of Greaves Road, High Street & Monteney Road. 

Update -  Road is clear of works and open at this time.

Fitzwilliam Gate, Cumberland Street & South Lane will be closed for approximately one week for remedial National Powergrid works following the recent burst water main.

X1, X2  services will divert via Furnival Square roundabout, Eyre Street (serving the Fire Station stop), Bramall Lane roundabout, then Eyre Street.
