The bus stop on High Street, May Bank will be suspended on 17th February 2026 for Highways repairs.
Service 40, Smithpool Road Fenton Closure on Wednesday 11th March 2026.
Due to resurfacing works, the 40 bus service will operate the diversion below.
Beech Grove onto Whieldon Road, City Road then normal route to Christchurch Street.
Please note this diversion will add time to the journey and the service may run late as a result.

With the completion of phase 4 on Friday the 20th of February, Stoke Mains renewal programme phase 5 has now commenced and is scheduled to last approximately 2 weeks.
Merrick Street in Hanley is now closed.

During this time the buses will divert outbound via Upper Huntbach Street, Eaton Street.
Inbound will be normal route
The next phase of the Stoke Mains renewal programme started on Monday 2nd March.
Keelings Road in Hanley will be closed until 27th March. Outbound not affected.
