The bus stop at Highlands Road (Old post office stop) will be closed from 13th September at 6:30pm and open 15th September at 9pm. There is no room for a temporary bus stop, so please use an alternative stop during these times. This closure only affects F1 and F2 services. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused during these works which are out of our control and may change at short notice.

Station Road/Grove Road, Drayton
Between the 10th & 12th October the bus stops called Station Road on Grove Road will be closed for road works. This affect the 22 service. Please use an alternative stop during these works. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Festing Road, Portsmouth (Emergency Road Works)
The Gas board have closed Festing Road heading towards Southsea affecting services 1 & 2. These services cannot serve the stops between Eastney Health Centre and Festing Road and will divert away from this area via Cromwell Road, St Georges Road, Southsea seafront and to the other end of Festing Road where it will be back on normal route. Services towards Bransbury Park unaffected. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused during these works. These works are expected to last two weeks.

Service 1 diversion
There will be an OVERNIGHT closure Eastbound on Winston Churchill Avenue on the 17th October 2024 between 7pm and 5am. This will affect one stop only called Prince Albert Road. Service 1 will divert in one direction only from The Shephards Crook lights, it will divert left onto Priory Road and then right onto Milton Road, then back on normal route. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. These works are out of our control and may change at short notice.
UNICORN ROAD JUNCTION (and City Centre South)
Overnight road works will take place at the whole of the Unicorn junction Portsmouth for, between 2 and 5 nights depending on how much work is involved. This junction will be closed off between the 7th and 11th October for all traffic each night between 8pm and 6am. All First services will divert via Holbrook Road, Winston Churchill Avenue, Cambridge Road, Gunwharf and the Hard in both directions. We will not be able to serve Commercial Road (City Centre South) Queens Street or the Civic Offices during these times. Alternative stops will be Commercial Road North (Near McDonalds) or Winston Churchill Avenue (Near Domino's). We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by these works which are out of our control and may change at short notice.

New Gosport Bus Interchange will be opening on the 9th October 2024.
We are excited to announce that the brand-new Gosport Bus Interchange will officially open on the 9th of October 2024! This modern facility has been designed to enhance your travel experience, offering improved convenience and comfort.
To help you navigate the new station, here is a breakdown of where your favourite routes will depart:
- Route E1 will depart from Stand A
- Route E2 will depart from Stand B
- Route 9/9A will depart from Stand D
- Route 5 will depart from Stand E
- Route 11 will depart from Stand F
We encourage all passengers to familiarise themselves with these changes ahead of time and look forward to welcoming you to the new Gosport Bus Interchange!
GREAT SOUTH RUN, Portsmouth
Over the weekend of the 19th & 20th October the Great South run will take place. Minor delays could happen on the 19th but the main event will be on the 20th. All services in and around Portsmouth and Southsea will be affected in some way.
On Sunday 20th October all services that would normally serve the Hard interchange and Gunwharf /Dockyard will start and finish at the City centre shops between 0900 and 1600.
SERVICE 1 & 3 in the Southsea area will not be able to serve South Parade Pier and will start and finish at the Strand roundabout. Service 1 will divert on route via Waverley Road. Service 3 will divert from Southsea to City Centre shop then normal route.
SERVICE 2 will not serve the Hard and will start and finish at City Centre shops & will divert on route via Arundel Street.
SERVICES X4 & X5 will not be able to serve the Hard and will start and finish at City Centre shops.
SERVICE 7 will not be able to serve the Civic office and will start and finish at City Centre shops.
SERVICE 8 will not be able to serve The Hard and will start and finish at City Centre shops.
PARK & RIDE servces will not be able to serve the Hard and will start and finish at City Centre shops.
HOVER BUS H1 will not operate during the closure.

Quay Street, Fareham, road closure.
Between Tuesday 15th and 17th October Quay street will be closed to all traffic. All services will divert via:Eastern Way and A27 in both directions. This affects services 3, x4, x5 SD5, PC1, PC2, & F1. The only stops affected will be East Street going towards Portsmouth and the lay-by in West Street going towards Fareham. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused during these works. Please use alternative stops at the bus station. These works are out of our control and may change at short notice.
The Hard , Portsmouth
On Monday 22nd July The Hard bus station will be closed for major road works. These works are expected to last six months. All First Bus services will arrive and depart from Stand L out on the main road in front of the dockyard gates. The bus station building and our travel shop will remain open. You can still buy First Bus tickets and National Express from the travel shop. Staff will be on hand to direct you to your bus or coach.
