Explore one of Britain’s most stunning long-distance trails.
About The South West Coast Path
Stretching over 600 miles of stunning coastline, the South West Coast Path is the UK’s longest national trail – perfect for walkers of all levels. Whether you’re after a gentle seaside stroll or a day-long hike with breathtaking views, there’s something for everyone.
The South West Coast Path Association is a charity that has for over half a century been championing the South West Coast Path to make it one of the world’s great trails. They provide vital information to help you enjoy the Path, such as safety, wellbeing, and how to plan ahead.
Getting there is easy with First Bus and GWR. Many sections of the path are accessible by bus or train, so you can leave the car behind and enjoy a stress-free, scenic journey to the coast.
The Salt Path
The Salt Path by Raynor Winn is a powerful true story of resilience and hope, following Raynor and her husband, Moth, as they embark on the South West Coast Path after losing everything. Along their journey, Exmoor’s dramatic cliffs, secluded coves, and vast moorlands became a source of healing and inspiration.
With the film adaptation on the horizon, now’s the perfect moment to experience these breathtaking landscapes for yourself. Whether you're walking in their footsteps or simply looking to enjoy the raw beauty of Exmoor, the Salt Path awaits.
