Thornton’s Arcade

Built in 1878 Thornton's Arcade is the oldest covered shopping street in Leeds - with a neo-gothic structure designed by George Smith and the famous Ivanhoe Clock. It’s home to some great retail gems including Welcome Skate Store, a one-stop-shop for all your skating needs, as well as OK Comics one of the best comics bookstores in the country.

Queen’s Arcade

Named in honour of Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee the Queen’s Arcade is a charming Grade-II listed building that’s stood on Briggate since 1889. Home to big names as well as independents like Accent Clothing, Aladdin’s Cave jewellery shop and Mary Shortle’s quirky doll shop.

The Grand Arcade

Central Arcade

Merrion Centre
