Where to go for a Drink in Halifax
Now we’re well into the autumn months and the days are getting colder, we’ll all be on the hunt for a place to stop for a drink after a long week. And in the market town of Halifax, you’re certainly not short of choices. Found in the boroughs of West Yorkshire, you can take a trip down to Halifax on the weekend and enjoy a tipple or two in some of their amazing independent bars or cosy, traditional pubs. 6 Westgate Arcade, Halifax HX1 1DJ

Meandering Bear on Union Street opened up back in September 2019 and since then has been serving the people of Halifax and Yorkshire with great cask ales and cocktails. And for when the food cravings start to kick in, why not treat yourself to a cheeseboard, a hot grilled sandwich or a sharing platter made with plenty of local produce. You’ll soon find yourself paying a visit to the Meanding Bear on a weekly basis.

Another popular bar in Halifax is Next Level, located in Dean Clough. They’re guaranteed to have something for everyone and is the perfect spot to kick off your weekend plans. The Victorian Craft Beer Cafe

Halifax sure is the place to be for beer lovers as on Powell Street you can find The Victorian Craft Beer Cafe. Just a short walk away from The Piece Hall is this popular beer hall that opened in 2014. They stock beer from some of the best breweries across the UK and are full of unique character. As well as local beers, they also serve a selection of Belgian beers if you’re looking for something a little bit different. And better yet, they’re open every day from 12pm so cancel your weekend plans and make your way over to the wonderful town of Halifax!
