Horse Fair Green - 387, 387A, 384A

Horse Fair Green will be closed, we will be unable to serve Thorne Marketplace during the closure.

Services are diverting via A614, services that serve South Common on the outbound journey will divert via Ellison Street, Texaco Garage.

All other services are to follow the road round to the exit from the Marketplace to resume the normal route.

The 384a service will have to use South Common to turn around.

Field Road, Thorne - 387, 481

Monday 22nd July until Monday 30th September

Due to water pipe renewal work Field Road in Thorne will be closed.

OUTBOUND :- Normal route to Thorne Market, diverting via 387a route around the South Common, King Edward Road, to normal route.

INBOUND :- Diverting via The junction of St. Nicholas Road, Church Street, normal route.

September service changes

From 1 September, we will be introducing several service changes across South Yorkshire - increasing reliability and connecting more areas across the region.

Following on from our customer consultation period, we have made amendments to our initial proposed changes, as you as passengers are at the heart of everything we do at First Bus, and we want to keep providing a service you can rely on throughout South Yorkshire.

Sheffield changes:

1 - replaced by service 75	High Green - City Centre	First Bus will no longer operate the 1 service. During the evening and all-day Sunday's. Service 75 will operate to High Green on an hourly service during the evenings and every 30 minutes during the day on Sunday. 75/76 route maps can be found >> here.
1a - replaced by services 47/48/75/76	Chapeltown - Herdings	Service 1a will no longer operate. Herdings - City will be replaced by new services 47 and 48. City to Firth Park will be served by new services 47/48 and 75/76. 8/8a	Ecclesfield - Birley	One bus per hour will operate to Dyke Vale Road, instead of Birley Tram stop. Both routes will continue to operate every 30 minutes between Ecclesfield and Thornbridge Drive. Sunday daytime service on service 8 will be increased to operate hourly.
11 - replaced by service 47/48	City Centre - Herdings	Service 11 will no longer operate. Herdings will now be served by 47/48. All journeys on services 47/48 will operate via East Bank Rd. Heeley Green will be served by services 18 and 252 (TM Travel service) - providing a co-ordinated 15-minute service. During the evenings and all-day Sunday, service 73 will be re-routed to serve Heeley, providing a co-ordinated hourly service with the 18a. Service 47/48 route map available >> here.
18/18a	Sheffield - Norton Lees - Manor Top - Meadowhall - Hillsborough	Service 18 will be increased in frequency to operate every 30 mins between City, Heeley Green and Norton Lees. Between Meadowhall and Firth Park Margate Drive will no longer be served. Service 18a will continue to serve Margate Drive and a revised timetable will be introduced to provide a combined hourly service between City and Heeley Green, during the evenings and all-day Sunday.
Service 41 - replaced by new service 73	Dyke Vale Rd - Sheffield Circular	Service 41 will no longer operate. Dyke Vale Rd will be served by new service 8a. Eastern Ave will be served by the new service 70 (TM Travel service), and revised route during evenings and Sundays on First Bus service 73. Service 73 route map, available >> here.
*New service 47/48	Shiregreen - Herdings Circular via City Centre	These new services will operate from Shiregreen, serving Gregg House Rd, Hartley Brook Rd and Sicey Ave - via Firth Park, Firth Park Rd, Firvale, Burngreave, City Centre East Bank Rd, Newfield Green, Hemsworth and Herdings. From Newfield Green service 47 will operate via Gleadless Rd, Leighton Rd, Raeburn Rd, Constable Rd, and Blackstock Rd. Service 48 will operate in the opposite direction via Blackstock Rd, Constable Rd, Raeburn Rd, Leighton Rd, Gleadless Rd. The combined frequency will be every 10 minutes during the daytime. 51	Lodge Moor - Charnock	A new timetable will be introduced, including an earlier departure from Charnock at 0500.
52a	Woodhouse - Loxley	New timetable to be introduced, including a Sunday daytime service for Wisewood and Loxley.
56	Nether Edge - Wybourn	During the daytime (Mon-Sat), buses will be extended from Wybourn to Manor Park, serving Manor Park Crescent. In Wybourn, buses will continue to operate the one-way loop.
73 - largely replaced by service 70 and 95	Rotherham - Sheffield City Centre via Treeton	Monday - Saturday daytime journeys will be withdrawn and will be replaced by service 70 (operated by TM Travel) and 95. Remaining Mon-Sat, late evening and Sunday journeys will operate via Heeley Green and Arbourthorne, between Sheffield and Manor Top. Click for 73 maps >> here.
75	Jordanthorpe - City - Chapeltown via Woodseats and Firth Park	Between Batemoor and the City Centre, the route will remain unchanged. In North Sheffield, this service will be revised to operate via Rock Street, Pitsmoor, Firvale, Northern General Hospital, Hucklow Rd, Bellhouse Rd and Hartley Brook Road. 75a	Jordanthorpe - City - Foxhill via Woodseats and Firth Park	Service 75a will operate via Lindsey Ave, Bucannon Rd, Parson Cross Asda, Cowper Ave to Foxhill. During the daytime (Mon-Fri, services will be every 15 mins (every 30 mins to Chapeltown and every 30 mins to Foxhill) Find route maps >> here.
76/76a	Lowedges - City - Meadowhall via Firth Park	Service 76/76a will replace the 95/95a service between City, Firth Park, Wincobank and Meadowhall. Find route maps >> here
76e	Lowedges - City - Meadowhall via Woodseats - Firth Park	Service 76e will operate via Sandstone Rd and Fife Street, serving all of Wincobank every hour. This service will operate in the evenings only. Find route maps >> here.*
81/82	Stannington - Dore / Hall Park Head - Millhouses)	Service 81: A new timetable will be introduced to provide a regular combined 15 min service. Service 82 will be revised to serve Greystones, from Ecclesall Rd South, buses will run via Greystones Rd, High Storrs School, Hoober Ave, Knowle Ave, returning via Dobcroft Rd, Bents Green and Greystones Rd.
95	(Walkley - Meadowhall via Sheffield Interchange)	The service will operate between Walkley, City Centre, Parkway Markets, Handsworth, Waverley, Treeton, Catcliffe, Brinsworth, Canklow and Rotherham - partly replacing services 73 and X54.
95/95s/95b/95a	New services 95: Walkley - Rotherham via Sheffield - Treeton 95s: Walkley - Rotherham via Sheffield City Centre - Treeton 95b: Walkley - Crystal Peaks via Sheffield centre 95a: Walkley - Crystal Peaks via Sheffield City Centre - Aston	95a/95b Services will run from Walkley to Arundel gate in Sheffield City Centre via Commonside, and University of Sheffield. From City Centre, buses will continue to Crystal Peaks, running via Sheffield Parkway, Asda in Handsworth, Richmond Park Rd. 95a will continue via Orgreave, Swallownest, Aston and Beighton to Crystal Peaks 95b will continue via Woodhouse Village, Beighton to Crystal Peaks - both services will operate approx. hourly. Service 97/98	Hillsborough - Totley/Totley Brook	A new timetable will be introduced. Mon-Fri early morning AM peak time journey will stay from Netherthorpe, Brook Hill and run via Commonside, Walkley, Walkley Lane to Hillsborough, before continuing onto Totley/Totley Brook. Some Monday to Friday PM peak early evening journeys will terminate at Hillsborough, continuing via Walkley Lane, Walkley, Commonside and terminate at Nethethorpe Brook Hill.
120/120K	Halfway-Fullwood - Fulwood - Crystal Peaks/Killamarsh	A new timetable will be introduced to provide a better coordination with Stagecoach 120 services.

207/208 *Partly replacing services 608 and 73	Sheffield - Whiston/Brinsworth	All journeys will operate as service 207, with most journeys running from Worry Goose Island via Rotherham Hospital to Rotherham. During school time journeys, the service will serve Whiston village, partly replacing service 608 (previously operated by Keats). Howarth Rd will be served in Brinsworth, partly replacing service 73. *208 number will no longer exist, as these journeys will run as 207 only.
601 - new school service	Thomas Rotherham College	A new 601 service will be introduced between Maltby and Rotherham, running via the X1 route from the Queen's Hotel to Brecks, before continuing to Rotherham via Moorgate Rd, serving Thomas Rotherham College.

272 and 772 revised timetable from 17 June

*ROUTE NOW BACK TO NORMAL!

From 17 June until 13 September the road to Brough will be closed to enable repairs to a wall, this means our service 272 will not be able to serve Bradwell during the closure. An alternative timetable will be in operation during this period.

Our 772 service to Hope Valley College will also be affected during this time period, and will operate via Tideswell crossroads, following a revised timetable.

South Yorkshire changes from 7th April

We will be making some timetable changes and renumbering some of our services across South Yorkshire to improve punctuality, bringing more links and buses for the community. All Doncaster buses will start with the number 3 to differentiate our cross services and simplify them.

Sheffield/Rotherham changes

Sheffield – Rotherham – Maltby – Doncaster

Service 10 will be replaced by service X2 and run between Sheffield and Doncaster, serving Brightside, Meadowhall, Masbrough, Rotherham, Wickersley, Maltby, Braithwell, Edlington, Warmsworth and Balby. This is following customer feedback to reinstate a through service between Rotherham, Wickersley, Flanderwell, Bramley, Hellaby, Maltby, Braithwell, Edlington, Balby and Doncaster.

X1/X10 - X10 becomes X2

Sheffield – Rotherham – Maltby – Doncaster

X10 to be renumbered as X2. Between Sheffield and Rotherham, both services will run through Bright side and Masbrough (switching over routes with X1/X10) with changes to the times.

X78 - becomes X3

Sheffield – Rotherham – Doncaster

Service X78 will be re-numbered X3. Between Sheffield and Rotherham buses will run Attercliffe (switching over routes with X1/X10) with changes to the times.

Sheffield – Dinnington – Maltby

Service X5 will extend beyond Dinnington to run through to Maltby, serving Thurcroft, Bramley and Hellaby on an hourly basis. This will provide access to employment at Hellaby/Maltby and also provide a direct link to Sheffield from Thurcroft and Laughton Common.

Woodhouse - Sheffield-Lowedges

A new timetable will be introduced to improve coordination with service 25.

52a

Woodhouse - Hillsborough

Service 52A will be extended to serve Wisewood and Loxley following a demand in service. Buses will run more frequent at every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytimes. Between Hillsborough and Woodhouse, buses will remain every 15 minutes, but the times will be amended to provide better co-ordination with Stagecoach.

Hillsborough - Totley

Service 97 - 0540 from Totley cancelled, 0546 from Totley Brook runs 6 minutes earlier to maintain a similar arrival time in the city.

Rotherham - Treeton - Sheffield

A revised evening and Sunday timetable will be introduced with buses running a 2 hourly service instead of 130 minutes. Following customer requests, an additional departure will be added from AMRC to Rotherham at 16:25

Rotherham - East Herringthorpe/Ravenfield Common

Will see a minor change to the evening timetable, the frequency will remain the same.

Rotherham - Kimberworth Park

More buses will run on Sundays with an increased frequency of every hour.

An improved frequency will be introduced with buses running up to every 12 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytime and every 30 minutes in the evening and on Sundays. Service 376 will be reintroduced to serve Clay Lane.
16 - becomes services 316	Doncaster - Balby	Service 16 will be re-numbered 316.
41/41a - becomes service 341	Doncaster - Scawsby	Service 41 will be re-numbered 341. Revised timetable to improve punctuality/coordination. Reintroduction of 41a (341a) journeys will give a combined hourly service.
50/50a/50b - becomes service 350, 351 and 352	Doncaster - Skellow	Services 50, 50A & 50B will be re-numbered to 350, 351 & 352 with a revised timetable to improve punctuality.
52 - becomes service 353	Doncaster - Red House direct	Service 52 will be re-numbered 353 to match the York Road services.
54 - becomes service 354	Doncaster - Woodlands	Service 54 will be re-numbered 354. The frequency will increase from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes which will provide more buses to Scawthorpe and Woodlands.
55/56 - becomes 355 and 356	Doncaster - Rossington	Services 55 & 56 will be re-numbered 355 & 356. The frequency will increase from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes which will provide more buses to iPort, Lakeside and Rossington (Please note, service i4 is unchanged).
57/57a - becomes 357 and 357a	Doncaster - Cantley- Finningley	Service 57 & 57A will be re-numbered 357 & 357A. A new timetable will be introduced to help keep buses on time, and following customer feedback will serve Warning Tongue Lane (Cantley) hourly. A teatime journey will extend to serve Epworth providing an evening journey to Westwood side, Haxey and Epwroth under contract to North Lincs Council. This will return in service to give an evening bus into Doncaster that arrives just after 8pm.
58 - becomes service 358	Doncaster - West Bessacarr	Service 58 will be re-numbered 358. Following customer feedback this service will now operate in both directions along Stoops Lane , buses towards the city will use the shelters previously provided. Buses will operate every 30-40 minutes.
59 - becomes service 359	Doncaster-Finningley	Service 59 will be re-numbered 359.
64 - becomes service 364 & 364a	Doncaster - Bentley - Arksey	Service 64 will be re-numbered 364 & 364A. A new timetable will be introduced to help keep buses on time.
65 - becomes service 365	Doncaster - Intake	Service 65 will be re-numbered 365. A new timetable will be introduced to help keep buses on time.
66	Intake - Bentley	Service 66 will be re-numbered 366 A new timetable will be introduced to help keep buses on time.
71/72/73 - becomes 371, 372 & 373	Doncaster - Balby - Laekeside circular	Services 71, 72 & 73 will be re-numbered 371, 372 & 373. A new timetable will be introduced to help keep buses on time.
15 - becomes service 376	Doncaster - Clay Lane	A new service 376 will be introduced to replace service 15 between Doncaster and Clay Lane. Splitting this service will help keep buses on time because they will not get held up if Balby Road is congested.
81/82 - becomes service 381 & 382	Doncaster - Armthorpe	Services 81 & 82 will be re-numbered 381 & 382. A new timetable will be introduced with an increased frequency of every 12 minutes on Saturday to meet demand. To reflect falling passenger numbers on Sunday the frequency will be every 20 minutes.
84 - becomes service 384 & 384a	Doncaster - Thorne	Service 84 will be re-numbered 384 & 384A. Following customer feedback we are introducing a revised network of services that will serve more communities in the North East Doncaster area. During the day journeys will be extended from Barnby Dun to Stainforth and Hatfield/Westfield Green. A new timetable will be introduced with an increased frequency of every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday during the day. Service 384A will operate in the evenings and on Sundays. A revised timetable will be introduced to co-ordinate with service 387.
84a - becomes service 385	Barnby Dun-Moorlands Prison	Service 84A will be re-numbered 385
87/87a - becomes 387 & 387a	Doncaster – Thorne – Moorends	Service 87 will be re-numbered 387 & 387A. Service 87A will be replaced by service 388. Following customer feedback, we are introducing a revised network of services that will serve more communities in the North East Doncaster area. Service 388 will run between Doncaster and Thorne, providing a direct service to Hatfield Woodhouse to/from Doncaster. During the late afternoon buses will extend through to Moorends providing more links and better coordination. A new timetable will be introduced with buses running every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday during the day on service 387. Service 387A will operate in the evenings and on Sundays and coordinate with service 384A.
205 - becomes service 305	Doncaster - Tickhill	Service 205 will be re-numbered 305
456	Woodfield - Rossington - McAuley School - Doncaster	Morning journey to reflect the afternoon journey (455) currently provided. This has been as a result of public demand.
