All Services – Sunday 9th & Tuesday 11th November

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after more than four years of the First World War.

Every year, this historic moment is commemorated with a two-minute silence on what is known as Armistice Day.

To show our respects for the incredible sacrifices our forces made in that conflict and every conflict since, we’ll be offering free travel on Remembrance Sunday (9th November) and Armistice Day (Tuesday 11th November).

Who is eligible for free travel?

Any armed forces personnel or veterans (who are either wearing their military uniform or can show their service ID) are free to board our services.

Paying your respects

As always, colleagues are welcome to observe a two-minute silence on both Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day at 11am.
