Temporary Shuttle Service to Morriston Hospital from 18 July 2025 for 6 weeks

From Friday 18 July, roadworks near Morriston Hospital will temporarily affect services to and from Morriston Hospital. To ensure that customers can still access the hospital easily, we’ll be introducing a dedicated shuttle bus running between The Deer’s Leap/Cwmrhydyceirw Roundabout and Morriston Hospital.

Key information:

  • The shuttle will run every 30 minutes, 7 days a week
  • It connects with Services 4/4A at both ends, so you can easily continue your journey to/from Swansea
  • There’s no need to pay again or show your ticket to use the shuttle
  • The service is part-funded by SWTRA and Welsh Government, who recognise how important it is to keep communities connected
  • Monday to Saturday evening journeys on service 4A will be diverted via Christopher Road and Heol-y-Fran in both directions
  • Monday to Saturday morning journeys on service 42 will be diverted via Christopher Road and Heol-y-Fran

Due to limited notice and ongoing staffing constraints, we’re unable to divert the existing services 4, 24 and 31 during this time. However, this temporary shuttle helps us maintain access to Morriston Hospital with as little disruption as possible.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these essential works take place.
