Temporary Bus Service Arrangements Due to Road Closure at Pontyberem

Passengers are advised that from Monday 20 July 2026, and for approximately six weeks, bus services in the Pontyberem area will be affected due to a road closure on the B4317 Capel Ifan Road, Pontyberem.

To help maintain public transport links during the closure, a temporary Service 195A, operated by First Bus will be introduced to provide connections in Pontiets with Services serving Maengwynne, Five Roads and Cynheidre

Service Changes

Due to the road closure, it will not be possible to operate a direct bus service between Pontyberem and Ponthenri during the works.

Service 195 will continue to operate between Llanelli and Carmarthen via Llannon and Pontyberem, and 197 will divert via Ponthenri

A temporary Service 195A shuttle will operate between Llanelli via Five Roads and Pontiets.
