Reductions in government funding for buses mean we’ve had to make changes to our services in south and west Wales. These changes came into operation on Sunday, 29th October 2023.

Most services haven't been impacted, but we’ve had to reduce bus frequencies and hours of operation on some routes, and we’ve had to withdraw some others. This webpage contains full information on what's changed.

If a service is not listed, it did not change 29th October. But if you would like to confirm that a service has not been impacted by these changes, you can view a list of unaffected services by area below.

Revised timetable: Service 349 will operate every 90 minutes instead of every 60 minutes from 29th October 2023.

Revised route: The service 111 will alternate to operate via Havard Road (Llanelli) on every other trip from 29th October 2023.

The following Carmarthenshire services will remain unchanged and operate to their current timetables: 103, 124, 126, 127, 128, 129, 145, 146, 165, 166, 195, 197, L4, L5, L6, L7, T1, T1A, T1X.

Revised timetable: Service 2 will operate to a revised timetable to accommodate a revised route (please see below) from 29th October 2023.

Revised route: Service 2 will operate via Thistleboon and Limeslade on journeys inbound heading from Newton to Swansea Bus Station from 29th October 2023. This new routing on inbound journeys means that the following bus stops will not be served from 29th October 2023: Langland Corner (N), Oystermouth School and Newton Road. Customers that board at one of these three stops can still do so on outbound journeys heading from Swansea Bus Station to Newton.

If you currently catch the service 2 to Swansea Bus Station from one of the three impacted bus stops (Langland Corner (N), Oystermouth School and Newton Road) it is advised that you join the journeys heading toward Newton by catching the bus on the opposite side of the road and remain on the bus as it completes its route. Although please remember that this change will not take place until 29th October 2023.

From 29th October 2023, customers in the Limeslade area are advised to catch the service 2 as the route has been revised.

Revised route: Service 3 will operate via Singleton Hospital, Lower West Cross, Norton, Oystermouth and Bracelet Bay from 29th October 2023.

Revised timetable: Service 12/13 will operate every 30 minutes combined (Mon-Sat) instead of every 20 minutes (combined) from Sunday 29th October 2023. The Sunday service 12 timetable will remain unchanged.

Revised route: Service 12 will operate via Cadrawd and Mayhill (anticlockwise) resuming the current route through Townhill at Lady of Lourdes from 29th October 2023. Service 13 will operate the current clockwise circular route through Townhill before starting its revised route at Lady of Lourdes via Mayhill and Cadrawd from 29th October 2023.

Revised timetable: Evening service 28 (after 18:00) will operate every 90 minutes (Mon-Sat) instead of every 60 minutes (Mon-Sat) from 29th October 2023. Sunday timetable will be withdrawn from 29th October 2023. There will also be some minor adjustments to the timetable as a result of the below route change from 29th October 2023. 

Revised route: Evening services (after 18:00) will not serve Gendros and St Clears Place due to vandalism and inconsiderate parking. There will also be a slight amend to the route at all times of the day in the Penlan/Heol Cadifor area. Services towards Penplas will not operate via Heol Cadifor, services towards Swansea will turn left onto Heol Cadifor from Heol Gwyrosydd from 29th October 2023.
