Service 21/21A Bathpool A38 Closure.

From Monday 9th August until Summer 2022 Bridgwater Rd Bathpool will be closed at its junction with the A358 Toneway for 1 year!

For the duration of the closure services 21/21A will be subject to a diversion. Services 21/21A will not be able to serve stops along Bridgwater Rd or Hamilton Rd. Arrangements for those stops will be detailed below.

Service 21.

From Bridgwater, we will operate normal route up to and including the bus gate. it will then go around the roundabout and enter Milton Hill.  it will serve Farriers Green,(the stop heading towards The Merry Monk). From there it will turn left at the roundabout and follow the Western Relief Rd until the Crown Roundabout. From there it will follow Priorswood Rd (observing both bus stops) It will then turn left over the Obridge Viaduct and then enter Critchard Way and resume normal route on Eastreach. Returning from Taunton it will operate reverse of above.

Service 21A.

From Bridgwater, we will operate normal route as far as Staddlestones it will then turn right onto the new Western Relief Rd. until the Crown Roundabout. From there it will follow Priorswood Rd (observing both bus stops) It will then turn left over the Obridge Viaduct and then enter Critchard Way and resume normal route on Eastreach. Returning from Taunton it will operate reverse of above.

Stops not covered by any service will be Bathpool Aldi, Bathpool Bridge and Oxford Inn. Passengers from the Oxford Inn stop are advised to go to Roman Rd and catch service 4 between there and Taunton. Where you may connect with a 21/21A at the bottom of Eastreach at Union Gate. 

Stops along Hamilton Rd will be served by services 29/30/54 and PR1. Service PR1 will additionally call at Halcon Corner and the Bus Depot. You may use these services to connect with the 21/21A at the bottom of Eastreach at Union Gate. 

Passengers traveling from the Bridgwater direction needing stops along Bridgwater Rd or Hamilton Rd should alight at Union Gate and catch any of the above services to their destination. Passengers needing the Oxford Inn stop or Leycroft Rd are advised to take service 4. Oxford Inn passengers should alight at Roman Rd.
