120 120k and 56 Services – Until further notice

Due to a weight limit being imposed on the railway bridge at the bottom of Duke Street, the following diversion will be in place.

120 and 120K services

Inbound are diverted via Bernard Street and Crickett Inn Road.

Outbound services are unaffected.

56 Service

Diverting via via Broad Street, Crickett Inn Road and Bernard Street in both directions. 

8 & 8a Services 

Penistone Road has been closed in one direction at Hillsborough by police until further notice.

OUTBOUND services will divert via Penistone Road, Bamforth Street, Infirmary Road, Middlewood Road & Leppings Lane.

Inbound services are unaffected.

Updated [14:30]: Penistone Road is open, services have resumed the usual service. 

Low hanging trees on Hollow Gate, Burncross are causing disruption.

Services will divert using double decker vehicles via Foster Way, Greengate Lane, Worrall Road / School Road, Blackburn Drive, Burncross Road & Bracken Hill in both directions until further notice.

ROTHERHAM TOWN CENTRE WORKS 

Corporation Street will be closed in one direction.

73, 95 & X3 Services FROM RBS will divert via Bridge Street, Centenary Way, Main Street & Westgate.

Services towards RBS are unaffected.

81, 82 & 272 Services 2100 – 0500 Thursday 16th and Friday 17th October (for two nights)

Ecclesall Road will be closed in one direction from the junction of Junction Road towards the junction of Rustlings Road for road works.

OUTBOUND services diverted via Hunters Bar roundabout, Junction / Cowlishaw Road, Psalter Lane & Ecclesall Road South (82 service additionally via Ringinglow Road & Hoober Avenue).

18, 18a, 47, 48, 75, 75a, 76, 76a & 76e Services - Tuesday 21st until Saturday 25th October

Bellhouse Road will be affected by installation of a pole on the footpath between Firth Park roundabout & North Quadrant.

0430-0030 EACH DAY-TIME: The outbound 47 & 48 bus stop will be suspended, and services are to instead serve the 18 / 75 / 76 stop. 

0030-0430 EACH NIGHT-TIME: This section of road will be closed.

OUTBOUND 18 & 18a services diverted via Firth Park roundabout, Stubbin Lane & left onto Barnsley Road.

OUTBOUND 47 & 48 services diverted via Firth Park roundabout, Stubbin Lane, Barnsley Road, Hatfield House Lane & Sicey Avenue.

OUTBOUND 75 & 75a services diverted via Firth Park roundabout, Stubbin Lane, Barnsley Road, Hatfield House Lane & Bellhouse Road.

OUTBOUND 76, 76a & 76e services diverted via Firth Park roundabout, Stubbin Lane, Barnsley Road, Hatfield House Lane, Bellhouse Road & Primrose Avenue.

24 Services 

Richmond Hall Road has been blocked to larger vehicles by works.

Services will divert via Hastilar Road South, Richmond Road & Ravenscroft Road in both directions.

Works should have completed by 24th October. 

X1 Service - Until further notice (at all times)

Following a review of passenger numbers, X1 services have reverted back to double deck vehicle operation.

Though due to low hanging trees, buses cannot operate via Middle Lane South.

Services will divert in both directions via Broom Road and Wickersley Road (X2 route).

Unfortunately, we are unable to provides a set date for normal service resumption. 

24, 25, 76, 76a & 76e Services 

Lowedges Road (opposite the terminus turning circle) is experiencing works. As a result, the following is in place:

24 OUTBOUND services will divert via Lowedges Road, Gervase Road, Greenhill Parkway & Lowedges Road to terminate adjacent to the turning circle.

25 OUTBOUND services will divert via Meadowhead, Greenhill Parkway & Lowedges Road to terminate adjacemnt to the turning circle.

76 & 76a OUTBOUND services to operate via Hemper Lane / Bradway Road, Greenhill Parkway, Gervase Road & Lowedges Road to terminate at Gresley Road stop. Then commence inbound service without serving the terminus bus stop.

Works should have completed by 4th November.

Service 18, 18a | Hollythorpe Rise | Roadworks

Hollythorpe Rise has again been closed at the junction of Upper Albert Road by unannounced road works.

Services diverted via Warminster Road, Thorpe House Avenue, and the Thorpe House Loop in both directions.

Diverted via Charter Row, Moore Street, Ecclesall Road roundabout & St Marys.

Inbound services 81, 82 & 272:
Diverted via Ecclesall Road roundabout, St Marys, Bramall Lane roundabout & Eyre Street.

Inbound services X1, X2 & X6:
Diverted via Charter Row, Moore Street, Ecclesall Road roundabout, St Marys, Bramall Lane roundabout & Eyre Street.

Outbound services X1, X2 & X6:
Are now operating the usual route.
