Changes to your local bus services

We're making some changes to your local bus services to better reflect changing travel habits.  There will also be some departure stand changes within the Haymarket Bus Station. 

Here's a summary of the changes from Sunday 13th July 2025,

Services 14,14A: City Centre - Ryder Road/Beaumont Centre

Summer holiday timetable introduced during the week day - Monday to Friday running every 7/8 minutes. 

Service 15: City Centre - Goodwood

Summer holiday timetable introduced during the week day - Monday to Friday running every 8/9 minutes. This service will now depart from Haymarket Bus Station, Stand HY.

Service 17: City Centre - Highfields  

Following an extensive review, the weekday and Saturday journeys departing at 2000, 2030 and 2100 from the City Centre will no longer operate. 

Services 18,19: City Centre - Braunstone - Fosse Park

Great news! Service 18 will be extended to serve Fosse Park during the weekday and at weekends.  

Throughout the main day Monday to Saturday buses will run every 20 minutes and there will be additional evening journeys.  On Sunday buses will run every 40 minutes.

Service 19 will be withdrawn and Thorpe Astley and Meridian will no longer be served.

Services 88,88A,88E: City Centre - Eyres Monsell/Saffron Crossroads  

Summer holiday timetable introduced during the week day - Monday to Friday running every 7/8 minutes. This service will now depart from Haymarket Bus Station, stand HB.

Haymarket Bus Station departure changes 

Leicester City Council are making some adjustments to stand usage in the Haymarket Bus Station from 13th July 2025, details for our services are below;

  • Stand HB – will now be used by Services 88/88A/88E (currently using Stand HC)
  • Stand HE – will now be used by Services 38/38A (currently using Stand HF)
  • Stand HQ – will now be used by Services 4/4E (currently using Stand HR)
  • Stand HS – will now be used by Service 21 (currently using Stand HT)
  • Stand HT – will now be used by Service 54 (currently using Stand HY)
  • Stand HV – no change, Service 25 will continue to use this stand.
  • Stand HW – no change, Service 26 will continue to use this stand.
  • Stand HY – Service 15 will move into Haymarket Bus Station and begin using this stand (currently based on Charles Street Stand CB).
  • Stand HZ – no change, Service 16 will continue to use this stand.
