Worcester City 10k and Half Marathon

Due to the road closures associated with the Worcester City 10k and Half Marathon races on Sunday 14 September 2025 between 0800 and 1330, services will have alternative terminus points in the Worcester City area throughout the closure.  Worcester Bus Station will be closed during this timeframe. There will be no changes to timetables of services during this event.

We are expecting roads to be reopened and services to return to normal after 1330.

SERVICE 30

  • These services will divert from the Library bus stop by using Bromwich Lane, left onto Bromwich Road and left at Bull Ring roundabout to start the next trip at the Bull Ring bus stop outbound.

SERVICE 44

  • Service 44 from Malvern to Worcester will use Bromwich Road instead of Malvern Road to ensure we can turn around to serve the outbound route normally from Bull Ring roundabout. Bus stops along Bromwich Road will be served towards Worcester to compensate for not serving Malvern Road.

SERVICES 34/35/38

  • These services will start and terminate at Lowesmoor bus stops during this closure. Worcester Bus Station and Sansome Street stops will not be served.

SERVICE X50

  • These services will be using Lowesmoor as a temporary terminus. From Evesham to Worcester, service will use City Walls Road as normal, then divert via St Martin’s Gate, Tallow Hill, Shrub Hill Road to terminate and restart at Lowesmoor (adjacent to Dreams bed superstore).
  • From Lowesmoor towards Evesham, service will use Pheasant Street, City Walls Road to resume normal route at Sidbury. Worcester Bus Station and Cathedral Square bus stop will not be served during the closure.

SERVICE 144

  • Due to the complex nature of the closure and allowing our vehicles to turn, services towards Fernhill Heath/Droitwich Spa/Bromsgrove/Catshill will start from Lowesmoor bus stop (opposite Dreams bed superstore). They will divert via Rainbow Hill, Astwood Road and Bilford Road to resume normal route at Perdiswell traffic island.
  • On journeys towards Worcester, services will follow normal route to The Tything, and then use St Mary’s Street, Sansome Walk and Lowesmoor to terminate at Lowesmoor bus stop.
