Free Bus Travel on First Worcester Buses in Honour of ‘Remembrance Weekend'
Free travel on First Worcester buses for any person wearing a uniform or shows an identity card associated with the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Marines, Royal Air Force, and any cadet force
On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November First Worcester will be offering FREE bus travel to serving personnel in uniform as well as veterans and cadets who are attending commemorative remembrance events across the city.
First Worcester are also fitting poppies to the front of their buses in support of remembrance weekend and in symbolising hope for a peaceful future.
To qualify for FREE travel, personnel should either be travelling in military uniform or produce a current Ministry of Defence issued identity card, with their branch of the military stated (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, or cadet force).
First Worcester staff who have previously served in the forces are also being encouraged to support the event by wearing their ex-military attire over the weekend whilst driving in service.
Rob Hughes, operations director at First Worcester said,” This is an important day for many people who want to remember family, friends and others who have been lost in military service.
“We want to make bus travel to and from the scheduled events around Worcester as easy as possible for people who are attending, and I am pleased that our business can play our part in supporting and remembering those lost in military service past and present.”
