To allow for Glasgow City Council Avenues works on Tuesday 4th August until Sunday 11th October Queen Street at St Vincent Place will be closed until works are completed.

During the closure the following diversions will be in operation:

Lanarkshire services towards Buchanan Bus Station - Services 240, 255, 263, 267.                                                                       

The services are diverting via Glassford Street, Ingram Street, High Street, Castle Street, Cathedral Street, North Hanover Street, Killermont Street to BBS.

Service 6 towards Hope Street                                                                                  

The services are diverting via Stockwell Street at Stockwell Place, Stockwell Place, Howard Street, Jamaica Street, Broomielaw, York Street, West Campbell Street, Bothwell Street, Hope Street, normal route.

(Argyle Street/Hope Street also closed between 4.8.26-13.8.26)

Service 18 18A towards Douglas Street.                                                                                                          

The services are diverting via Glassford Street, Ingram Street, High Street, Castle Street, Cathedral Street, Bath Street to the normal route.

Service 21 towards City.

The services are diverting via Glassford Street, Ingram Street, High Street, Castle Street, Cathedral Street, Cathedral Bridge and terminate at the 1st stop; the next trip continues at Bath Street, Renfield Street, normal route.

Service 41 towards West Regent Street.                                                                                                    

The services are diverting via Duke Street at John Knox Street, John Knox Street, Castle Street, Cathedral Street, Bath Street, Renfield Street,  West Regent Street, normal route.

We are not operating under the low bridge at Cook Street.

From Tuesday 4th August, the following revised bus stop arrangements will be in place during the closure of Queen Street/St Vincent Place.

Due to Dawson Corner being suspended (The Last stop on Bradford Road is Meadow Drive)

The next stop after that is Bramley Town End for 8 weeks.

Dawsons Corner improvement works. Upcoming summer programme for Stanningley bypass. Below are the nights the bypass will be fully closed. Summer contraflow on the bypass 2026:

• Monday 27th July – Install contraflow ~ IN PROGRESS
• Tuesday 28th July – Install contraflow ~ IN PROGRESS
• Monday 10th Aug – Switch contraflow ~ UPCOMING
• Friday 21st Aug– Remove contraflow
• Monday 24th Aug – Bypass closure clockwise for surfacing
• Tuesday 25th Aug – Bypass closure Anti-clockwise for surfacing

CURRENT IMPACTS:

New Pudsey Station

Stop number 45023447 is fully suspended - This includes the previous temporary stop as well 

Service X6 will observe stop number 45013512 on Bradford Road approaching Dawsons Corner in an attempt to accommodate displaced customers

Temporary stopping measure is likely to be required for upto 8 weeks from 27th July 2026.

The services are diverting via Eastgate, Vicar Lane, North Street. Sheepscar Interchange, Meanwood Road, Oatland Road, Servia Hill to normal route.
