Service 501 & X1 - Diversion

Service 501 & X1 - One lane closed on Calderdale Way for Grass Cutting. Services unable to serve Stops at Ainley Top and experiencing delays of up to 30mins. 

Service 501: - 

Towards Huddersfield - The 501 service will use the following diversion; 

From Elland via Riorges Link, Peanut round about, Elland, then follows the X1 route, Huddersfield Road to Ainley Top then back to normal route. 

Service unable to serve Stops at Ainley Top.

Towards Halifax : Normal route but please expect delays. 

Service X1: 

Towards Huddersfield - Please expect delays of up to 30 minutes. 
Towards Halifax - Please expect delays of up to 30 minutes.

Dawsons Corner improvement works. Upcoming summer programme for Stanningley bypass. Below are the nights the bypass will be fully closed. Summer contraflow on the bypass 2026:

• Monday 27th July – Install contraflow ~ IN PROGRESS
• Tuesday 28th July – Install contraflow ~ IN PROGRESS
• Monday 10th Aug – Switch contraflow ~ UPCOMING
• Friday 21st Aug– Remove contraflow
• Monday 24th Aug – Bypass closure clockwise for surfacing
• Tuesday 25th Aug – Bypass closure Anti-clockwise for surfacing

CURRENT IMPACTS:

New Pudsey Station

Stop number 45023447 is fully suspended - This includes the previous temporary stop as well 

Service X6 will observe stop number 45013512 on Bradford Road approaching Dawsons Corner in an attempt to accommodate displaced customers

Temporary stopping measure is likely to be required for upto 8 weeks from 27th July 2026.
