Sometimes, the things we lose can do a lot of good.

Our teams in Huddersfield and Halifax have partnered with Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice to turn unclaimed lost property into vital funding for local children and families.

Every month, around 100 items are left behind on our buses, from hats and umbrellas to gadgets and sports gear. After 28 days, anything not collected will now be donated to Forget Me Not, to be sold in one of their 15 charity shops across West Yorkshire.

The money raised will go towards the £6.5 million needed each year to run the hospice’s services, including nursing care, hydrotherapy, creative therapy, family days out, and bereavement support.

This simple but powerful initiative means that every unclaimed umbrella or forgotten jumper can make a meaningful difference in our community.
