Many of our most popular routes will run more frequently, including the 1, 2, 4, 8, 10, X51, X53 and X54. We're also excited to welcome back the 55, X50 and X52 for the summer months.
Plus, we'll be launching a brand new service, LB1, on Friday 1st May 2026.
Find out what's changing:
Service 1 – Weymouth-Portland
Timetables and running times have been revised to increase the reliability of the route. Operating a 15-minute frequency at peak times.
Service 2 – Weymouth-Brisbane Road
Timetables have been revised to increase the peak frequency from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes (Monday to Saturday) and 30 minutes to every 20 minutes (Sunday). An additional trip will run on Monday evenings throughout the summer holidays when the firework displays are on.
Service 4 – Weymouth-Preston
Timetables have been revised to increase the peak frequency from every 35 minutes to every 20 minutes. An additional trip will run on Monday evenings throughout the summer holidays when the firework displays are on.
Service 8 – Weymouth-Chickerell
Timetables have been revised to extend the hours of operation. This means last trips will depart Weymouth at 9.30pm Monday to Friday, 10.15pm on Saturday and 6.20pm on Sunday.
Service 10 – Weymouth-Poundbury, Mansell Square
Timetables have been revised to improve the reliability of the service. Buses will run at a 15-minute frequency Monday-Saturday and continue to serve Peverell Avenue on Sundays only at a 20-minute frequency.
Service 55 – Lulworth-Wool-Bovington Tank Museum-Monkey World
Service 55 returns for this summer, offering connections between Lulworth Cove, Wool Station and tourist attractions at Bovington. Buses will operate hourly every day of the week. Passengers to/from Weymouth can connect to route X54 at Lulworth or Wool Station.
Service LB1 –Bridport-Lyme Regis (Holm Bush Car Park) - Effective 1st May 2026
New service funded by Lyme Regis Town Council to operate on Friday and Saturday evenings, starting from 1st May 2026.
Service X51 – Weymouth-Dorchester-Bridport-Axminster
Timetables revised to account for summer season traffic, with no change to frequencies. Last buses will be later, and a 2-hourly service will operate on Sundays during the summer
Service X52 – Weymouth-Abbotsbury-Bridport
The service will resume for the summer season using open top buses. Buses will operate every 2 hours Monday to Saturday, providing a co-ordinated hourly service between Weymouth and Bridport with route X53.
Service X53 – Weymouth- Bridport-Axminster
Timetables revised to account for summer season traffic, with no change to frequencies Monday to Saturday. Last buses will be later, and a 2-hourly service will operate on Sundays.
Service X54 – Weymouth- Wareham-Swanage
During the summer season, buses on route X54 will extend to Swanage with buses operating every day of the week, every 2 hours. For Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World, please connect with route 55 at Lulworth or Wool Station.
Service X50 – Weymouth- Wareham-Swanage (Summer Holidays Only)
During the summer holidays, buses on route X50 will operate every day of the week, offering an hourly service with the X54. For Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World, please connect with route 55 at Lulworth or Wool Station.
