Network changes from 26 October

From Sunday, 26th October, customers across Dorset may see some changes to their services, all of which come from our work with Dorset Council, local Councillors, and bus user groups to help make services better for everyone.

As well as adjustments to address feedback from customers and local authorities, the changes include a return to the 2024-25 winter level of service for the X51 and X53, with enhancements made to improve connectivity to train services at Axminster. 

Overview of changes

X51/X53 - will operate every two hours between Weymouth and Bridport, and hourly between Bridport and Axminster. These arrangements will remain in place until the introduction of next summer’s timetable.

1, 2 and 10 - The Friday and Saturday late-night journeys, operated with financial support from We Are Weymouth, will be reduced to just one extra round trip. These will continue until Friday 19/Saturday 20 December 2025, with additional late-night journeys running on New Year’s Eve (details to follow).
