Temporary Stop Closure, Route 9. Carisbrooke Shops towards Gosport.

E1 & E2 Services BRT BUSWAY

From 20:00 – End of Service Each Night

Due to Increased levels of vandalism on the BRT Busway we have taken the decision to divert all E1 & E2 Services off the BRT from 20:00 this week.

Services will divert as follows:

E1 & E2 Leaving Fareham Bus Station

Diverting via A32 Gosport Road and Palmerston Drive.

E1 & E2 Leaving Gosport Bus Station

After Fort Brockhurst will divert via A32 to the Newgate Lane Road bridge, Palmerston Drive and onto the BRT Track to head towards the train station.

Due to road works, the above stop will be closed on the date and times shown.

Passengers are advised to use the temporary stop supplied by the contractors.

Temporary Diversion, Route X4.

2100 – 0500 Tuesday 2nd until Monday 22nd September. Each night.

Due to the closure of the junction at the A27 North Harbour, Route X4 will be diverting via:

M27 to Junction 11 then via the  A27 to Portchester Precinct then normal route.

This diversion will be for both directions.

The stops between Portchester Precinct and Racecourse Lane will not be served during this time.

E1 & E2 Leaving Gosport Bus Station:

A32, Newgate Lane Road Bridge, Palmerston Drive, BRT Track.

Service 9: 

Normal Route.

Due to Commercial Road being closed, services will divert via Stanhope Road and Bishop Crispian Way. 

01/09/2025, 09:00 until 06/09/2025​, 0600, 24 hours closure. 

Then will close again between 06/09/25, 20:00 until 07/09/25, 06:00

Services, 1,2, 3, 7, 8, X4, X5, H1. 

​Diversions as follows: 

Services 3,8​, heading towards The Hard from City Centre North:
Services will not use Stanhope Road and will turn onto Bishop Crispian Way and serve the P+R bus stop.​

Services 3,8​,X4,X5 heading towards City Centre North from The Hard​
Services will not use Stanhope Road and will turn onto Unicorn Road.​

Services 1,2, heading towards The Hard​:
Services will not use City Centre South, use Stanhope Road, Bishop Crispian Way and serve P+R bus stop in both directions.​

Services 1, H1 heading towards South Parade Pier:
At the end of Bishop Crispian Way onto Stanhope Road.

Services 7, heading towards City Centre from City Centre North:

Unicorn Road onto Stanhope Road, Commercial Road where you will be back onto normal route.

Services 7, heading towards City Centre North from City Centre South:

Normal route under the railway bridge onto Stanhope Road onto Unicorn Road where you will be back onto normal route.

Services X4 and X5

Southampton Road, North Harbour will be closed between the hours of 21:00 - 05:00

02/09/2025 – 22/09/2025

Services to divert as follows:

Services X4 and X5 towards Fareham

Diverting via M27 Junction 11, A27 towards Portchester Precinct.

Services X4 and X5 towards Portsmouth

Diverting the reverse of the above.

Due to unforeseen operational delays, the start of the new surface laying has been postponed.
This phase of the works is now scheduled to begin on the night of Wednesday 13th August.

Route X5 will continue on normal route until this date.

Please check back for new dates of this diversion.

Temporary Diversion, Route X5 A27 the Avenue, towards Fareham and Portsmouth.
Wednesday 6th August until Tuesday 9th September between 2000 and 0600 each night.

Due to a road closure on the A27, the late evening X5 towards Fareham and Portsmouth will be diverted via:
Titchfield Road, Daedalus Way, and Peak Lane. Then returning to normal route on the A27 at the Peak Lane stop..

The stops at Ranvilles Lane and Sandringham Road will not be served.

An alternative stop is available at Peak Lane.

This closure will only affect the 2019 X5 from Titchfield.

Temporary Diversion, Route X4. Hunts Pond Road, towards Southampton.
Friday 25th July until Tuesday 8th September.

Due to roadworks on Hunts Pond Road, Route X4 will be diverting via:
Hunts Pond Road, Prelate Way, Primate Road, and Lower Church Road towards Southampton.

Alternative stops are available in Lower Church Road or Cambridge Green.

The stops at Abshot School or Dimmicks Corner will not be served during this diversion.

Due to extended works, this diversion will now continue until Friday 28th August.

Temporary Route Diversion, Route 21. Hill Head area.
Thursday 3rd to Friday 8th August.

Due to a road closure on Hill Head Road, all 21 services will be diverted via:
Carisbrooke Avenue to Crofton Lane.
The stops at:
Short Road, Hill Head Road, Cottes Way, and Crofton Lane will not be served for the duration of the closure.

An alternative stop is available at Carisbrooke Avenue. (opposite the Crofton Shops)
