Nightingale Road, within QA Hospital will be closed from 7am on the 13 November to 6pm on 17 November.
The two stops in Nightingale Road will be closed as well as the two stops in Southwick Hill Road.
Services 7 & 8 will divert via Southampton Road and Northern Road in both directions.
PLEASE USE THE BUS STOPS OUTSIDE THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO QA HOSPITAL.

There will be a single lane closure on Nightingale Road between the 17 and 25 November.
During this closure the bus stops at QA Hospital might be closed.
If this is the case, please use the stops outside the main entrance.

Route X4 has returned to normal route Thursday 8th October

Service X4 Temporary Route Diversion. Titchfield and Coach Hill.
Wednesday 7th October until further notice.

Due to road works in Titchfield, route X4 will divert via A27 and Warsash Road in both directions.

Passengers are advised to us the alternative stops on the A27 or the temporary stops in Warsash road at the junction common Lane.

Services are planned to return to normal routes from Thursday 8th October.

GREAT SOUTH RUN 17/18 OCTOBER 2026

Over the weekend of 17/18 October the Great South Run will once again take place in Portsmouth.
Please come and see this event and First Solent will get you close to the action.

SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER
Service 1,3 & X3 will be affected with a closure of South Parade Pier with services starting at Canoe Lake and diverting along Granada Road in both directions.
This will be between 8:00am and 10:30am only.

SUNDAY 18 OCTOBER
The main event takes place the whole length of Southsea Seafront, Old Portsmouth, The Hard/Gunwharf, Dockyard, City Centre and Winston Churchill Avenue.
Many roads in this area will be closed between 05:00am and 5:00pm. Roads will open as soon possible after the event.

In general all bus services will start and finish at The City Centre South stops. (near Portsmouth and Southsea rail Station.)

NO SERVICES WILL SERVE THE HARD OR GUNWHARF DURING THE RACE.

MORE DETAILS
Park & Ride 1 Will operate normal route until 9:20am and then to City Centre.
Park & Ride 4 Will operate to Clarence Pier until 9:30am then to City Centre. Returns from Clarence Pier from 2:30pm
Services 1 & 3 in Southsea will divert via Granada Road missing out South Parade Pier.
Service 1 will divert via Arundel Street to the City Centre and will not serve the Hard.
Service 3 will divert via Victoria Road North, Bradford Junction, Arundel Street to pick up the route at the City Centre.
Service 2 will divert via Arundel Street & Victoria Road North in both directions missing out the Hard.
Services X4, X5, 8 will start and finish at City Centre South Stops and will not serve the Hard.
Service 7 will start and finish at City Centre South and will not serve Civic Offices.
Service H1 will not be able to operate during the race.

As soon as the officials open the roads, services will return to normal. (This could be as early as 2:30pm)
