Over the weekend of 17/18 October the Great South Run will once again take place in Portsmouth.
Please come and see this event and First Solent will get you close to the action.
SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER
Service 1,3 & X3 will be affected with a closure of South Parade Pier with services starting at Canoe Lake and diverting along Granada Road in both directions.
This will be between 8:00am and 10:30am only.
SUNDAY 18 OCTOBER
The main event takes place the whole length of Southsea Seafront, Old Portsmouth, The Hard/Gunwharf, Dockyard, City Centre and Winston Churchill Avenue.
Many roads in this area will be closed between 05:00am and 5:00pm. Roads will open as soon possible after the event.
In general all bus services will start and finish at The City Centre South stops. (near Portsmouth and Southsea rail Station.)
NO SERVICES WILL SERVE THE HARD OR GUNWHARF DURING THE RACE.

Services 1 & 3 in Southsea will divert via Granada Road missing out South Parade Pier.
Service 1 will divert via Arundel Street to the City Centre and will not serve the Hard.
Service 3 will divert via Victoria Road North, Bradford Junction, Arundel Street to pick up the route at the City Centre.
Service 2 will divert via Arundel Street & Victoria Road North in both directions missing out the Hard.
Services X4, X5, 8 & Park and Ride will start and finish at City Centre South Stops and will not serve the Hard.
Service 7 will start and finish at City Centre South and will not serve Civic Offices.
Service H1 will not be able to operate during the race.
As soon as the officials open the roads, services will return to normal. (This could be as early as 1:30pm)
