You may or may not be aware that a potential Amber Weather Warning has been issued for Friday 23rd October for the South and South West Regions, for heavy rainfall forecast and high winds expected on Friday during the early morning hours until lunchtime.

We anticipate several operational challenges that may affect service delivery through the morning commute, including:

  • Increased traffic congestion and associated delays
  • Surface water, flooding in localised areas, and reduced visibility
  • Potential route diversions and periods of service disruption
  • Hazards caused by strong winds, including fallen debris, obstructions, and deteriorating road conditions
