Discover Christmas in Worcester

Attend the famous Worcester Victorian Christmas Fayre

Experience the immersive atmosphere of the Victorian Christmas Fayre with Victorian themed characters, festive treats and over 200 stalls! Taking place across four days from Thursday 30 November - Sunday 3 December, there's a whole range of exciting things to do for the whole family! Enjoy tasty treats, a traditional carousel, and lots of entertainment such as live music and carols - don't miss it!

Wander around Worcester Cathedral

A stunning display of Christmas trees will be on show at Worcester Cathedral from 7th December – 14th January. Each tree is individually designed by members of the community, local schools and organisations.

The Cathedral are hosting a range of events this Christmas including a Fayre (2/3 December) and a Christmas Concert (16 December).

Watch a festive pantomime at the Swan Theatre

Experience pantomime magic this Christmas with Jack and the Beanstalk! The show will have all your favourite traditional panto moments so you can boo, hiss, cheer, laugh and sing to your hearts content at Worcester’s favourite family pantomime.

The theatre is just a 10 minute walk from Crowngate bus station.

Upcoming Diversions

PERSHORE GEORGIAN MARKET – FRIDAY AND SATURDAY 24/25 NOVEMBER 2023

Due to the Pershore Georgian Market in Broad Street, Pershore on the dates above, services X50, S5, S51, 51 and 54 will need to divert on these dates as follows;

SERVICE 51 – 1535 journey from Pershore High School to Worcester – This service will divert between Allesborough Hill and Station Road via the B4084. Bus stops on High Street, Broad Street, Defford Road and Three Springs Road will not be served. AM journey unaffected.

SERVICE 54 – 1535 journey from Pershore High School to Worcester - This service will divert between Pershore Cemetary and Station Road via Three Springs Road and B4084. Bus stops on High Street, Broad Street, Defford Road and Three Springs Road will not be served. AM journey unaffected.

SERVICE S51 – 1705 journey from Pershore College to Worcester – This service will divert via High Street. Bus stops on Broad Street, Defford Road and Three Springs Road will not be served. AM journey unaffected.

SERVICE S5 – 0800 journey from Pershore Broad Street to Blessed Edward – This service will start at New Road bus stop on Three Springs Road. Bus stops at Broad Street, all stops along Defford Road and Abbots Grange bus stop on Three Springs Road will not be served.

SERVICE X50 – Journeys from Evesham to Worcester on the two days above will use High Street in Pershore and is unable to serve Broad Street, Defford Road and Three Springs Road. Journeys towards Evesham are unaffected.

MALVERN CHRISTMAS MARKET

Due to the Malvern Christmas Market from 1630 on Friday 24 November until the end of service on Saturday 25 November 2023, services will not be able to use Church Street in Great Malvern.

SERVICE 44 – This service within these times above will divert from Moorlands Road, right onto the A449 and right onto Graham Road to resume normal route on Church Street. Bus stops at Link Top Shelter, Bank Street and Foley Arms Hotel will not be served.

VICTORIA SQUARE, DROITWICH

Due to the Christmas Light Switch On Event on Victoria Square in Droitwich Town Centre on Saturday 25 November 2023, service 144 will need to divert in both directions throughout the day.

TOWARDS WORCESTER – Divert from Ombersley Street East via Heritage Way, St. Andrew’s Road to rejoin normal route at Raven Hotel bus stop.

TOWARDS BROMSGROVE/CATSHILL – Divert from Heritage Way via St. Andrew’s Road to rejoin normal route at Raven Hotel bus stop.

SERVICE 675/674 - C1167 FROM RED COTTAGES TO PETTY FRANCE

Due to the closure of the C1167 near Petty France on Monday 04 December for 9 weekdays, service 675 will need to divert via the 676 route and will be unable to serve Wellington Heath in it’s entirety throughout this closure.

During this closure, service 674 to and from John Masefield High School will divert via Beggars Ash, Wellington Heath and Hollow Lane in both directions to ensure all students for the school will be taken. John Masefield School has been informed.
