U22 Free Travel Scheme
Led by The Scottish Government, young people in Scotland aged under 22 years old are entitled to free bus travel.

To access the scheme you must apply for a new National Entitlement Card (NEC) card.

Those aged between 5-15 must have a parent, guardian, or carer apply for a new NEC card on their behalf. Those aged between 16-21 should apply themselves.
- It’s important that you apply for your new NEC Card in order to access the travel scheme, as old Young Scot Cards will not be accepted, and you will be required to pay your fare as normal.

Transport Scotland have launched a new application to help people aged 16-21 access free bus travel. Bridge Street will be closed heading from Guild Street to Union Street from 15:00 on 21 April until 15:30 on 22 April.

Woodend Terminus closed 17 – 23 April
Woodend Terminus will be closed from 04:00 on 17 April until 17:00 on 23 April.
Service 11 will need to divert as follows: From Hazlehead Roundabout via past the terminus and the bus stop just beyond will be served for dropping off, back onto Skene Road and resume the normal route.

Links Road/ Urquhart Road will see closures due to works by SGN from 07:00 on 15 April until 18:00 on 03 July.

Provost Rust Drive Closed |24th-26th April | Services 12/23
Due to road works on Provost Rust Drive at the junction with Manor Avenue, services will divert as follows from 04:00 on 24th April until 17:00 on 26th April.
As a result, services 12, 23 will operate a diversion.
Service 12 heading to Heathryfold will travel from Provost Rust Drive via Granitehill Road, Quarry Road, Byron Avenue, Brebner Terrace, Springhill Road and left on to Provost Rust Drive, before resuming the normal route.
Service 12 heading to Torry will travel via Springhill Road, Brebner Terrace, Byron Avenue, Deansloch Crescent, Quarry Road, Granitehill Road and Provost Rust Drive before resuming the normal route.
Service 12 heading to Scatterburn will travel from Granitehill Road, Provost Rust Drive, Anderson Drive, Provost Rust Drive and Granitehill Road before resuming the normal route.
Service 23 heading the Heathryfold will travel from Hilton Drive, Anderson Drive, Provost Rust Drive, Manor Avenue before resuming the normal route .
Service 23 heading to Sheddocksley will travel onto to Springhill Road, Brebner Terrace, Byron Avenue, Deansloch Crescent, Quarry Road, Granitehill Road, Provost Rust Drive and Manor Avenue before resuming the normal route.

Buses will not serve Provost Rust Drive from Manor Avenue to Springhill Road.
- The nearest stops for customers for service 23 heading to Heathryfold will be Provost Rust Drive, then change onto Service 12 heading to Heathryfold or walk from Manor Avenue.
- The nearest stops for customers wishing to travel to the City from Heathryfold would be to catch the number 12 or the nearest stop for service 23 will be Manor Avenue.
- The nearest stop for customers for service 12 will be at the bottom of Provost Rust Drive, Granitehill Road, Quarry Road , Heathryfold Terminus in both directions.
Scotstown Road/ Parkway Roundabout Closed Nightly 14th-21st April
There will be a nightly closure of Scotstown Road/Parkway Roundabout 14th to 21st April between 18:00 – 06:00
As a result, service 2 will operate a diversion during this time.
Service 2 heading from King Street to Ashwood will travel from the Parkway via Woodside Road, Denmore Road, Greenbrae Road, Dubford Road & Scotstown Road before resuming the normal route.
Service 2 heading from Ashwood to King Street will operate from Jesmond Drive to Dubford Road, Denmore Road, Woodside Road, Parkway, Ellon Road and King Street via the roundabout, resuming the normal route. Please note that this service will not fo up North Donside Road.
St Machar Drive Closed | 15-26th April | Services 9U & 20
From 09:00 on 15 April until 16:00 on 19 April one-way restriction will be in place during the St Machar Drive closure. The permitted direction of travel will be eastbound only.
Service 9U heading from Sir Duncan to Hillhead will operate as normal
Service 20 heading from City Centre to Hillhead will operate as normal.
Service 9U heading from Hillhead to ARI will divert via Ellon Road, Balgownie, Tillydrone
Service 20 heading from Hillhead to City will divert via King Street, Mounthooly Way
From 09:00 on 18 April until 16:00 on 26 April one-way restriction will be in place in the opposite direction on St. Machar Drive between its junctions with King Street and St. Machar Place. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only.
As a result, Services 9U & 20 will operate a diversion during this time.
Service 9U heading from Sir Duncan Rice to Hillhead will operate via Diamond Bridge, Grandholm Drive, Balgownie Rd, King Street and continue the normal route to Hillhead.
Service 20 heading from City Centre to Hillhead will operate via King Street, St Machar Roundabout, using the 2nd Exit before resuming the normal route.
Service 9U heading from Hillhead to ARI will operate as normal.
Service 20 heading from Hillhead to City Centre will operate as normal.
All stops will be served during the diversions for service 20.
Countesswells Road Closed 6th-19th April | Services 15S/15B
Countesswells Road will be closed between Airyhall Avenue and Springfield Road from 08:00 on 06 April until 17:00 on 19 April.
As a result, services 15B & 15S will operate a diversion.
Service 15B heading from Seafield Road to Countesswells will operate via Springfield Road, Craigton Road and continue along this road without serving Airyhall.
Service 15B heading from Countesswells to City Centre from Craigton Road, straight down Springfield Road without serving Airyhall. The service will then ttravel via Seafield Road and resume normal service.
Service 15S heading to Hazlehead academy from Airyhall Avenue will travel via Countesswells Road, Airyhall Avenue, Craigton Road & Springfield Road before resuming the normal route.
Service 15S heading to Mannofield will continue to the traffic lights at Craigton Road then travel via Airyhall Avenue, Countesswells Road, Airyhall Avenue, Craigton Road & Springfield Road before resuming the normal route.
