Tap On Tap Off – always get the best value price, whether you travel a lot or a little.
We believe travelling in and around Southampton by City Red bus should be the best value for everyone, whether you use the bus on a daily basis, might make more than one journey in the day or maybe travel a few days a week.
Use your contactless device - bank card, smartphone or smartwatch - to pay for travel when you board and you’ll never pay more than the daily or weekly cap, however many trips you make as long as you always remember to tap off as you leave the bus. And if you only make one short hop,
you’ll only be charged for that. This means you can be confident that if your plans change and you have to make more journeys, you’ll never be paying more than you should.
What’s happening to Tap & Cap?
Tap & Cap will be replaced by Tap On Tap Off from Thursday 30 June 2022 and the current cityredbus.co.uk/tap webpage will be the new home for Tap On Tap Off, where you will be able to track your transactions.
Tap On Tap Off can also be used on Solent Ranger services X4 & X5 within the Southampton zone.
