We're challenging you to use your head and commute by bus. With a FirstWeek 1 Zone ticket costing £22.30 you can make some great savings.
For example:
- If you make an 8 mile round trip to commute and pay £4 per day for parking, you'll save up to £4.65 per week, which equates to £241.80 per year
- If you make a longer commute at 16 miles round trip and pay £6 per day for parking, you'll save up to £11.75 per week, that's £611 per year.
* Please note that savings will be greater for 1 Zone tickets for the Zone L and Zone M areas.
And remember, your FirstWeek ticket is valid at weekends too meaning you can save even more money if you decide to take the bus. You don't need to give up your car - there may always be times when it is more convenient - but consider your commute and see if a First bus can make the journey cheaper and give you time to read, listen to music or work on your way.
Save yourself an arm and a leg and commute by bus!
* Fuel costs are based on the AA Fuel price index for April 2011 at 135.8p per litre and consumption of 35 miles per gallon.
