Changes to our fares
From 1st May 2022, we're making changes to our fares and ticket range, offering greater flexibility and value when you travel by bus.
The ticketing updates have been designed to reflect today’s post-pandemic travel habits following a detailed analysis of passenger and purchasing data. As a result, First Aberdeen expects the new ticket options will help many customers save money.
Among the new, better value options are Two-Trip tickets (from £4.20 on the First Bus App) and a wider variety of flexible mobile tickets for Adults and Students. The introduction of the new Two-Trip tickets will also offer better prices to current customers using a Day ticket to travel twice. The Two-Trip tickets will be available to purchase on bus and on the FIrst Bus App.
The overhaul of First Aberdeen’s ticketing options will see existing fares increase by an average of 5.7%, but with the newly designed options suited to the emergence of more hybrid working and the end of the traditional five-day commute, locals are being offered journeys that more cost-effective compared to previous prices. Within the ticket changes that are coming into effect, First Bus has made sure that no fares will increase by more than the current CPI inflation rate.

New Two Trip 24hr Ticket
We've reviewed the usage of our current Day Tickets, and realised that many people only travel twice. The Two-Trip 24hr ticket offers a value-for-money solution for those only planning to travel twice in one day. This ticket available on the First Bus App will issue two single tickets into your ticket wallet and is also available to purchase on board by cah or contactless. This ticket must be used within 24hours.

New Flexible Day Ticket Bundles
Following a detailed analysis of passenger and purchasing data, our new Flexible Day Ticket bundles offer a solution to suit hybrid working and the end of the traditional commute. Better value for customers who currently purchase a weekly, or monthly ticket and do not travel every day. In new options of 3-in-7, 5-in-7, and 15-in-28 bundles!
