Young people (16-21) and students (of any age if in full time education) can get up to 20% discount on all tickets across the West of England (Bristol, Bath, Weston-super-Mare & Wells).
Students can show any form of valid photo Student ID to get the discount and no longer need a First Photo ID. Examples of ID that can be used are valid NUS Cards, University ID cards or International Student ID cards. Valid ID must be shown on every journey. If none can be produced at the time of travel, then the ordinary adult single fare must be paid.
Young people (16-21, excluding students) will need a First Photo ID pass. These are free of charge and valid for one year from the date of issue. The pass must be shown to the driver on every journey. If no Photo ID pass can be produced at the time of travel, then the ordinary adult fare must be paid.
To get a photo ID just visit a First travel shop with a passport photo, proof of age or student status or use the form below.
Tickets are also available via mTickets on the First Bus App, just visit your app store and you can buy your ticket in advance and validate it when you want to make your first journey. For more information on mTickets, click here.

Bell Hill Road, Redfield, St George, Closure - (41 / 42 / 43)
Bell Hill Road in Redfield will be closed to services 41, 42 and 43 between 07:00 and Midnight Sunday 7th April to facilitate carriageway works.

Service 41, 42 and 43 will divert via, Summerhill Road and kingsway in both directions during these time.

Regretfully the bus stops between Clouds Hill Avenue and Rodney Road will not be served.

Oakfield Road, Frome - CLOSURE - (D2 & D2X)
Oakfield Road between Broadway and Critchell Road in Frome will be closed to services D2 and D2X between 08:30 - 16:30 Tuesday 2nd through to Thursday 4th April (Three Days) to facilitate carriageway works.
Service D2 will operate normal route as far as Broadway then will be diverted via Portland Road to resume normal route at the junction of Critchell Road and Westfield Road in both directions.
Regretfully the bus stops the The Acorns and Police Station on Oakfield Road and the Royal Oak bus stop on Broadway will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at either the Westover bus stop on Critchell Road or the Portland Road bus stop on the Broadway.

Service D2X heading towards Frome will operate normal route to the end of Bath Street then will be diverted to resume normal route at the junction of Critchell Road and Westfield Road in both directions.
Regretfully the bus stops the The Acorns and Police Station on Oakfield Road and the Royal Oak, Portland Road bus stops on Broadway and the Weymouth Road and the Memorial Theatre Complex bus stops on Christchurch Street West will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at either the Westover bus stop on Critchell Road or the Market Place bus stop for both directions.

West Street, Somerton - CLOSURE - (77)
West Street in Somerton will be closed to service 77 from first bus on Wednesday 20th March and will remain fully closed until last bus on Thursday 18th April (estimated) to facilitate carriageway works.
Service 77 will be unable to serve any of the bus stops in the village and passengers are advised to board or alight at the the bus stops on Behind Berry for both directions of travel.

Easter 2024 timetables in the West of England
Friday 29th March - Good Friday
Services will operate to Sunday timetables*, apart from the following:
- A1 Airport Flyer: standard Mon-Fri timetable.
Saturday 30th March
Normal Saturday service.
Sunday 31st March - Easter Sunday
Normal Sunday service, apart from the following:
- Bath Park & Ride (21,31,41): will not operate.
Monday 1st April - Easter Monday
Services will operate to Sunday timetables*, apart from the following:
- A1 Airport Flyer: standard Mon-Fri timetable.
*On Bank Holidays where services are operating to Sunday timetables, please check timetables to ensure your service runs on Sunday normally. If it doesn't, then it will not operate.
Please be reminded that clocks will go forward 1 hour at 1am on Sunday 31 March.

Dowsell Way, Yate - CLOSURE - (Y2)
Dowsell Way in Yate will be closed to service Y2 from 07:00 on Monday 11th March for approximately eight weeks to facilitate carriageway works.
Service Y2 heading towards Bristol only will from the roundabout at the junction of Eastfield Drive and Leechpool Way will go straight across to resume normal route.
Regretfully the Leechpool Way bus stop on Dowsell Way will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at either the Summers Mead or Peartree Hey bus stops on Eastfield Drive.

Service changes in the West of England from 7 April 2024
The below changes, which will see improvements to the overall bus network in the West of England, are part of a bi-annual review of routes, and will come into effect from Sunday 7 April.
For a number of services, the timetable & route will not change - please refer to the unaffected routes drop-down at the end of each area for these services.

** UPDATED ** - Hutton Village - EMERGENCY CLOSURE - (126)
Hutton Hill in the village of Hutton is currently closed to service 126 until further notice due to a landslide. The closure is for unknown duration and when details have been confirmed the web page will be updated.
Service 126 heading towards Wells will divert via Moor Lane, Moor Croft Road, Vereland Road resuming normal route at Hutton Hill (Part unaffected),
Service 126 heading towards Weston will operate the reverse of the above.

A432 Badminton Road M4 bridge - CLOSURE - (Y1)
The A432 Badminton Road will be closed from the Willy Wicket roundabout to the junction of Church Road in Frampton Cotterell from 19:00 on Wednesday 12th July to service Y1 until further notice, until at least 2025.
The A432 Badminton Road is still open between Church Road and Cuckoo Lane for vehicles and the bridge will remain open to pedestrians and cyclists until the bridge over the M4 is demolished.
Please note as a result of this closure the service Y1 will suffer inevitable delays and passengers are advised to allow extra time on their journeys. This will also cause delays to all other services in the area due to the high volume of dispersed traffic finding alternative routes.
The Bristol Zone boundary bus stop will be the Quarry Barton bus stop on Bristol Road by Whiteshill Common.

Service Y1 heading towards Yate & Chipping Sodbury will operate as normal as far as the traffic lights at Hambrook junction but instead of going straight across, will divert left onto the B4058 Bristol Road (serving 'The Stream' bus stop), through Winterbourne village, then turn right into Church Road to its end and left onto Badminton Road (part unaffected) to resume normal route. Service Y1 heading towards Bristol will operate the reverse of the above.
Regretfully the following bus stops will not be served during this closure in both directions:
Hambrook - Cuckoo Lane - Down Road - Park Lane - Station Road - St Saviours Church - Heathcote Drive
Heading towards Bristol the Church Road bus stop on Badminton Road will also not be served.
All bus stops on the diversion route will be observed in both directions including the bus stop outside of the Co-op in Winterbourne village heading towards Bristol.

Temple Way heading towards Temple Meads only will be closed overnight to services 8 and 72 between 20:00 and 06:00 on Wednesday 3rd April (one night) to facilitate carriageway works.
Regretfully both the bus stops on Temple Way will not be served. Passengers are advised to board or alight at either Penn Street in Broadmead or Temple Meads. The bus stops on Victoria Street will also be observed.

TEMPORARY BUS STOP - Dalby Avenue, Bedminster - BUS STOP CLOSURE - (70, 75, 76, m1 & A1)
The Dalby Avenue bus stop in Bedminster is currently closed to services 70, 75, 76, m1 and A1 and will remain fully closed until May 2024 for further development works for approximately two years.
From Monday 4th December there will be a temporary bus stop positioned outside of The Toast Room approximately 320 metres further along from the Bedminster Parade bus stop. The Bedminster Parade bus stop will be served as normal.
Please note: due to short notice of the temporary stop being put in position, Journey Planning data will not show results for Dalby Avenue stop until the next available data upload.
